Do you ever feel like your days are running you, rather than you are running your days?
Jonny talks us through how you can implement mindfulness and wellbeing into your every day life, how to tune out the noise and get back to what really matters., the wellbeing of yourself and close ones.
A day is a complete cycle, much like a lifetime, offering opportunities to set intentions, stay grounded, and end with peace. If we observe and check in throughout the day we can get more out of it, and more out of how we feel.
The morning is a moment of awakening, a chance to start afresh. We have a moment before the weight of yesterday settles in to pause and reflect. Ask yourself, Who do I want to be today? and What kind of world do I want to live in?
This brief, quiet moment after waking offers the perfect opportunity to align your energy and intentions. By setting a clear direction, you lay the foundation for a purposeful day.
Midday: Reconnecting with Purpose
As the day unfolds, it’s easy to let external events shape your energy and mindset. Instead, make a conscious effort to reconnect with the intentions you set in the morning throughout the day.
This isn’t about perfection but about returning to your focus whenever you feel pulled away by distractions or challenges. It’s a reminder to stay grounded in what truly matters, fueling and inspiring your initial purpose throughout the day.
Evening: Closing with Gratitude
The evening is a time for winding down, reflecting, and rest. By slowing down and embracing gratitude, silence, or simple moments of contemplation, you create space to process the day’s experiences.
This peaceful closure allows you to carry a sense of ease into your sleep, setting the stage for a fresh start the next morning.
Living Each Day with Intention
When viewed as a complete cycle, each day offers a chance to start fresh, stay true to your values, and end with calm and clarity. It’s not about striving for perfection but about embracing the natural flow of beginnings, middles and ends.
With a little intention and mindfulness, each day becomes an opportunity to align with who you want to be and how you want to live.
Jonny's Tips
- Create a soothing, calm morning and/or evening routines. Consider not looking at your mobile phone for example during these times
- Start or end your day by listing three things you’re grateful for. This can help shift your mindset, reduce stress, and bring positivity to your daily routine
- During the day, set reminders to pause and breathe. A few deep breaths or a quick mindfulness practice can help you reconnect with your intentions and regain focus
